Residents in these five cities saw some of the biggest gains in credit card debt last year, according to Experian. Here's what people splurged on in December, based on spending data from Mint.com.

Average credit card debt: $4,631.22
Increase from 2009: 6.5%
Spent on food & dining: $560.92
Favorite restaurant: Buca Di Beppo closely followed by Hooters
Spent shopping: $729.78
Favorite retailer: Saks
