One of the country's most notable Labor Day events has to be the
Colorado Balloon Classic, held each year in Colorado Springs. With free admission, spectators can see the wide array of colorful balloons launch in a ''Mass Ascension,'' take in a concert or even go on their very own hot-air balloon ride (that costs extra).
Beyond the balloons, there are plenty of other local attractions, including Pikes Peak, the Garden of the Gods nature park, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and the Money Museum, where admission is surprisingly free.
