Here's a costume to sink your teeth in.
Owner: Wayne Toth
Location: Burbank, Calif.
Tall, dark, and not so handsome, the Ultra Vampire Stalkaround is a real lady slayer. Created by special effects wizard and entrepreneur Wayne Toth, this costume is the most popular of his Stalkaround series. Measuring up to eight feet tall, with an arm span of eight feet, it is a "puppet" costume whose movements are controlled by the wearer.
The Stalkaround is but one of the many Halloween items available at Toth's Halloween emporium, Halloween Town. It's a year-round Halloween and horror-themed store that has recently expanded locally and internationally due to customer demand. This year, sales of the Stalkarounds and other items have increased by 10%.
This growth is "a testament to the scale of the Halloween market," said Toth. "We both have a love for the season and everything that goes along with it," said Toth. "So we try to do things that we would want to see. And it seems that people that have the same interests really appreciate the way we do things on the same level."
Toth is well known for his FX work. His gory skills have been used in numerous horror films, including Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween and Zombie's upcoming 2012 release, The Lords of Salem.
