This True Blood necklace is "fabulous and fashionable," said its owner. It's also expensive.

Today's vampire is scarily chic. Think Eric Northman in Hugo Boss or Pam De Beauforte in Chanel -- how might they accessorize? By wearing Udi Behr's True Blood jewelry line. An agreement with the show's producer, HBO, gave Mr. Behr's company, Love, Peace and Hope, the license to design pieces to die for.
Both the living and the undead can wear the stainless steel and ruby necklace. "My customers range from True Blood fans to simply fashion-forward consumers," said Behr. "I believe that the customer that wears my True Blood jewelry will be partying the night away at an exclusive upscale event on the night of Halloween, looking fashionable and fabulous."
Last year, the company saw a 34% increase in sales for the True Blood collection. The company's Halloween season's peak is October 15 to 31. "We expect to do even better this year," he said.
As to why people spend on Halloween, despite the shaky economy, Behr said: "The world is in such turmoil, the economy is unstable, and life is so challenging. Halloween gives us the opportunity to escape everyday reality and either hide behind a mask or colorfully express who you wish you could be, for just one night."
