Excess. You know the sin. So do the folks behind You the Man, a tool dedicated to getting your inebriated self home safely.
The GPS-enabled app iPhone app will calculate your blood-alcohol level. Need a car service? You the Man app pinpoints your location and finds rides nearby. It'll also direct you to the nearest subway or bus routes. Created by the New York City Department of Transit, the free app aims to help New Yorkers and visiting tourists stumble home without getting behind the wheel of a car.
But what happens if you not only drank too much, but also tweeted too much? Social media tools give us all kinds of new ways to humiliate ourselves during a night of excess. Thankfully, there's Last Night App, a 99 cent iPhone app that allows you to easily delete your Facebook and Twitter photos, comments, and messages by simply pressing the "Last Night Never Happened" button. You can specify how many hours' worth of posts you wish to obliterate.
"The idea originated from my own experiences as a young man living in London and Hong Kong," says founder Daniel Cowen. While on a diving trip, Cowen checked Facebook and saw a scandalous photo of him that a friend had posted. "We all sometimes wish last night never happened, but if it did, we certainly wish we could get rid of evidence ASAP!"
