The Civic Natural Gas won the Green Car of the Year Award presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. This redesigned version of the Civic Natural Gas goes much farther on a tank than last year's model, going as far as 240 miles in highway driving. Also, its natural gas engine is the cleanest-burning internal combustion engine rated by the EPA.
Fuel economy for natural gas and electric cars is rated in MPGe, or miles per gallon equivalent. That's how far the car goes on an amount of energy equivalent to that contained in a gallon of gasoline.
