Chrysler 300
Chrysler 300
Price: $27,470
Fuel economy: 18 City, 27 Hwy

When it was introduced in 2005, the Chrysler 300 was an obvious -- and pretty successful -- attempt to create a luxury car for the common man.

But, during the ensuing years of financial and management chaos at Chrysler, the 300 was allowed to age gracelessly. After a while, it became just big car with big grill as others overtook it in quality and technology.

The newly redesigned 300 is available with an eight-speed transmission and a new, better V6 engine in addition to the Hemi V8. It's also got a nicely designed and constructed interior that's the match that of cars costing much more.
