Whitman holds it down for the women, as the only female CEO on the top 10 list for tech. She took over at HP in September, after the company fired Leo Apotheker after just 11 months on the job.
Apotheker, who scored just 67% in his approval rating, was the third CEO booted from HP in six years. Before Apotheker, Mark Hurd was dismissed in a scandal after he submitted false expense reports in what appeared to be an effort to conceal a relationship with a former employee. Hurd scored a paltry 34% for approval. With an 80% approval rating, Whitman is almost doing better than both of her predecessors combined.
