Communications services company WPP and research agency Millward Brown have released a new ranking of China's 100 most valuable brands.
CNNMoney has highlighted the top brands here, and there are a few surprises. Rising tech firms performed well in this year's rankings, while some other companies with global name recognition -- like Lenovo and Haier -- didn't make the top 10.
China Mobile, one of the world's largest wireless providers, once again captured the top spot with an estimated brand value of $61 billion.
