Real estate services à la carte


SoloPro lets users hire a real estate professional only when they need it, and pay per service.

"You can hire an agent just to show a home, a different agent to negotiate it or have the same person take the offer through close," said SoloPro founder Tommy Sowers.

At closing, buyers get 3% commission as a rebate.

Agents determine their service offerings and prices. Showing homes is the most in-demand service and ranges in price from $5-$50 per home.

The company is based in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and plans to have a presence in all 40 states that allow the rebates.
