Searching for a home gets personal

Casamatic

Finding your dream home is a lot like finding the love of your life.

That's why Casamatic takes a dating-app-like approach to house hunting. The Cincinnati-based company matches house hunters with listings by asking the typical questions like desired location, size and budget. But it also asks more personal questions about your favorite foods and activities and whether you want to live close to family and friends.

It then uses information from sites like Yelp and Foursquare along with home listing websites to find properties specifically tailored to your lifestyle.

The site partners with real estate agents to step in when a user is interested in a home.

The service is currently available in Cincinnati and Chicago, but plans to expand into other markets in 2016.
