The family-owned company made 60 million garments last year for many of the world's best-known brands, from Tommy Hilfiger to Brooks Brothers, and had revenue of about $500 million. This year, despite objections from some Esquel executives about timing, she decided to invest $150 million in a new fabric mill in China that will double capacity. |
