(FORTUNE Small Business) – Sleep-Diagnostic equipment maker Medcare of Iceland has acquired Kinnelon, N.J.--based SleepTech, which partners with hospitals to create sleep-treatment centers, for $25 million in cash and stock. Launched in 1993 by husband-and-wife team Vyto and Patricia Kab, SleepTech grew into the largest company of its kind in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Both Patricia, 43, and Vyto, 44 (a former tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Giants, and the Detroit Lions), will retain executive roles in Medcare, which will now offer consulting and diagnostic services to treatment centers. — DAISY CHAN
