Virtacore Systems, Inc., a leading provider of cloud solutions designed for the midmarket, today announced it has chosen Equinix, Inc. (NASDAQ: EQIX), a provider of global data center services, as the primary partner for Virtacore's new infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), delivered via Virtacore's vCore™ platform. Virtacore will leverage Equinix's global platform of International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data centers and services to deploy its new offering that will bridge public and private VMware Clouds.

Virtacore's vCore platform is the first in the market to provide a unified management console and seamless upgrade between VMware vCloud™ Express, a pay-as-you go, on-demand, self-service cloud offering, and private and hybrid VMware-virtualized environments. Virtacore will use Equinix's global platform to deliver both vCloud Express and its more customized vFabric™ private cloud offering, created for organizations with complex hosting needs.
