BMO Financial Group's Victor Tung One of Canada's Top 40 Under 40®

TORONTO, June 27, 2018 /CNW/ - BMO Financial Group, today announced that Victor Tung, Chief Information Officer, Corporate and International, has been named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40® for 2018. Mr. Tung is currently responsible for leading a global team of more than 600 professionals and oversees the delivery of technological solutions for BMO's Human Resources, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Anti-Money Laundering, Corporate and International functions.

As a lifelong learner committed to continuing education, Mr. Tung has completed Master of Science, Executive MBA and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Liverpool and the University of Toronto while balancing full-time leadership roles. At BMO, he has improved operational efficiency and enabled significant progress in the evolution of intricate systems and heavily regulated processes.

Mr. Tung serves as the only representative from the financial industry on AT&T's Global Advisory Council. He is also a member of Coupa Technology's Executive Advisory Board and is a member of the Canadian Financial Services Cyber Security Governance Council and the board of Skills for Change, a non-profit that supports new immigrants.

Canada's Top 40 Under 40® is an annual recognition of the exceptional achievements of 40 outstanding Canadians under the age of 40. Honourees were selected from more than 800 nominees by an independent advisory board of 20 business leaders from across Canada. They were assessed based on four key criteria: Vision & Innovation, Leadership, Impact & Influence, and Social Responsibility.
