A redesigned Ford Escape will be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month. Its Mercury Mariner cousin was unveiled in Miami in early October and it offers a glimpse of the sort of changes we can expect. Like the CR-V, the Escape will be getting a sharper-edged appearance.
The Escape, originally introduced as Ford's answer to the Rav4, was actually the leading crossover SUV for some time, but it was overdue for some improvements. Improved suspension and power could lift it back to the top.
