Rank: 4 out of 5
Highs: Transmission, fit and finish, front-seat comfort, towing
Lows: Controls, small third-row seat, premium fuel, rear visibility, sloppy emergency handling, backup camera disclaimer
The Q7's third-row seat is especially cramped, according to Consumer Reports.
"Its interior is quiet with very low wind noise and a pleasant-sounding V8 engine," the magazine said.
Consumer Reports calls the Q7's controls "frustrating to use" and notes that the driver interaction system is "often slow to respond." A rear-view video camera functions only after the driver pushes a button to agree to a legal disclaimer displayed on the screen.
