The head of Britain's largest private health-care provider was one of the country's highest-paid female executives, earning a reported $4.1 million last year. But Gooding, 56, has the results to show for it: Revenue was up 8%, to $7.1 billion, and profits before taxes jumped 22%, to $554 million.
