2005 rank: New Russia Moldazhanova, 40, runs the $14 billion private-equity fund owned by Russian tycoon Oleg Deripaska. Among her many assignments is overseeing the portfolio's holdings in Rusal, which, after its anticipated merger with Sual this fall, will become the world's largest aluminum producer. She is also restructuring the fund's assets, which are also invested in financial services, energy, construction, and other natural resources.
