NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - The Acura TSX was chosen as Money Magazine's Best Car of 2004 and it's a bargain at a base price of about $24,000. These days, though, a lot of folks -- especially in gated retirement communities -- are using golf carts to get around.

Talk about a bargain. At a base price of $12,000 -- twice the price of the average golf cart -- the Western Golf Car Elegante golf cart still costs about half the price of an Acura TSX. Of course, it has only 5 horsepower and a top speed of less than 20 miles per hour. But, try driving that Acura TSX out on a country club golf course and wait till the grounds crew guys get a hold of you.
