NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Twenty cars that have transported heads of state and other world leaders will be on display starting June 18 as part of the "Presidents, Popes and Potentates" exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Cars in the exhibit range from a 1915 Baker Electric purchased by President William Taft to the first Hummer converted for a civilian. It was used by future California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Two Popemobiles -- the 1982 Range Rover that was specially constructed for Pope John Paul II as well as a 1999 Cadillac he used -- will be on view. The Ranger Rover, used to carry the Pope in motorcades, was fitted with a bullet-resistant glass enclosure.

A Hong-Qi limousine built in 1978 in China for the Dalai Lama will also be displayed.

Presidential cars showcased in the exhibit include a 1956 Chrysler Imperial Parade Phaeton used by Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon and Juan and Evita Peron's custom-bodied 1939 Packard Super Eight Phaeton.

Cars with royal roots include Queen Elizabeth II's 1959 Rolls Royce and the Shah of Iran's 1939 Bugatti Type 57C.

The Vanvooren-bodied Bugatti -- a wedding gift from the French government -- features fully skirted fenders and a windshield that can be lowered into the cowl by a hand crank under the dash.

The exhibit will also include a display that describes how security features in these vehicles have evolved over time.

The exhibit runs until January 22, 2006.
