NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Even the most successful among us needs help choosing a car sometimes. Or a couple of cars.

That's why Chief Executive magazine annually recommends cars -- one for work, one for play -- for America's CEOs.

There are separate lists because, while showing up at the office in a Ferrari F430 Spider might create murmurs among the employees, they won't see you out enjoying a country back road on the weekend. So, there's no reason you shouldn't have one in your garage to enjoy when the time is right.

The three "Work" cars are divided by price. The "Play" cars are listed by body style: Two sedans, two sports cars, two convertibles and a coupe. The selections were made in cooperation with Edmunds.com, which is also a partner providing data and content for CNN.com's automotive Web sites.
