Serwer: Wrigley ... a stock to chew on
New leadership at the gum maker may lead to more upside; Berkshire is a dilly
Market insight from Fortune Editor-at-Large Andy Serwer

NEW YORK (Fortune) -- Okay, this is getting a little ridiculous, right? Gettin' a little giddy. Ten new highs on the Dow in the last 15 sessions? And now I see some forecasters saying: "Oh, the market's not too high, it's going up more." That to me says TOP!

WILLIAM WRIGLEY JR. CO.: Yup, the gum company. Named its first, non family member CEO ... a dude from Nike, Bill Perez, who clashed with Phil Knight (easy to explain that.) Get this: WWY was up $6.40, or 13.7 percent, to close at $53.23! Holy Juicy Fruit, Batman!!! I think there is more upside here. But be warned, the stock (Charts) is not cheap ... and there are still questions about Wrig's $1.4 billion purchase of Kraft's candy biz.

BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY: All right so I said I would buy you all a dilly bar if/when BRK broke $100,000. Well it did. So go ahead down to your local DQ and tell 'em Andy sent you. Next time I run into you I'll spot you the dilly. I asked the BRK specialist at the NYSE the other day whether, if/when the stock (Charts) passed $100K, that would pose any problems for him or for the exchange. He said not really. No problem for moi either. Prognosis? Keeps on rockin'!

FORD: How in the world do you lose $5.8 billion?! In a single quarter?! That's $44,000 a minute! Amazing. Ford (Charts) posted it's biggest quarterly loss in more than 14 years. ("...coldest winter in almost 14 years..." from Mandolin Wind by Rod Stewart.) Its debt was downgraded a bit more and the stock fell too. The new CEO Alan Mulally thinks a turnaround is under way. Maybe. I'd wait for another shoe to drop before I jumped in. This stock has given head fakes before ...

Loose Change: Hey, have you gone to the Hells Angels website lately? http://www.hells-angels.com/ What fun! Who knew they had chapters in Athens, (Greece!), and Cape Cod (Mass.!) .... Giants might almost be as good as the Redskins ... Deep Blue sent this: http://www.fantasycongress.org/fc/...... fun, no?
