Archer Daniels Midland's (up $0.77 to $37.53, Charts) stock enjoys a spike in corn prices based on an expected hike in demand for the commodity.

Bunge Limited (Charts) sees its sector rise based on the increase in the price of corn.

Corn Products International (down $0.63 to $35.77, Charts) sees its sector rise based on the surge in corn prices.

Dendreon (up $8.30 to $13.52, Charts) has shown its novel cancer therapy Provenge is safe and effective for men with advanced prostate cancer.

Netgear (up $1.32 to $28.81, Charts) was upgraded by Matrix Research to "buy" from "hold," according to Briefing.com.

Tribune (up $0.56 to $32.09, Charts) reportedly received an 11th hour bid for the company from Los Angeles billionaires Eli Broad and Ron Burkle that topped a bid from Chicago real estate magnate Sam Zell.

Take-Two Interactive (down $0.40 to $20.70, Charts) saw dissident shareholders win control of the company and oust CEO Paul Eibeler, sending shares up 6.5 percent in extended trading
