Stocks mixed at the startBlue chips as Ford cheers investors, but Cisco's caution sends Nasdaq lower.NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- U.S. stocks were mixed at Thursday's open, with blue chips gaining from Ford's better-than-expected results and Nasdaq hurt by Cisco's outlook. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.3 percent. The Nasdaq composite index was down 0.1 percent. The Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 0.4 percent.
