What do you really do in these situations?


    1. A friend, who ordered a much more expensive meal than you, wants to split the check.

       Say nothing and just split it.
       Remind her that she had the appetizers and wine.
       Claim you're short of cash.
       Ask her to wait while you order more dessert.


    2. A friend, claiming he's considering a career change, asks you your salary.

       Make up a number.
       Tell him you won't discuss it.
       Give a broad range.
       Tell him your real salary.


    3. Someone asks you how much your house costs.

       Tell them.
       Say you won't discuss it.
       Tell them to check public property records.
       Give them an "about" number.
