Burgers and steaks aren't going out of style, but more Americans would rather eat at home then drive to mid-priced eateries such as Bennigan's and its sister restaurant, Steak & Ale. Analysts attribute the bankruptcy to the decline of the once-sizzling casual dining sector, which has been battered by fast food retailers in recent months. But Bennigan's, with its vaguely Irish leanings, also suffered from the lack of a distinct brand identity.
