She's back: Hayashi, 62, has been on the International Power 50 before, when she served as CEO of publicly held supermarket chain Daiei. She left the post--and our list--in 2007. In May she returned to the car industry (she started in the auto business at a Honda dealership in Yokohama in 1977 and went on to become president of BMW Tokyo), and now she oversees Nissan's car sales in Tokyo.
