Kelley Blue Book set aside the High Performance category for vehicles producing in excess of 400 horsepower. With its 422-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 the Camaro SS takes the top spot in this category partly because of its sheer horserpower-per-dollar value, said Eric Ibara, KBB's residual value analyst.
Camaros are still selling for over sticker price, and there are waiting lists for the car six months after it entered production. Those are all good signs it will hold on to its value in the used car market in coming years, Ibara said.
