I didn't have any shame. I sent out an e-mail to my friends saying I had just been laid off. I got help from my former clients, which are mostly hedge funds. I actually asked one if I could work out of their office. The fact that I was sitting at my client's office made me look that much better. A recruiter I helped several years ago told me about the job at JNK Securities.
