When the job market stalls, people head back to school -- and for-profit educator Lincoln Educational Services offers short-term, career-focused programs that fit the bill.
With more than 40 campuses in 17 states, this 63-year old company has been shifting its offerings away from automotive to health care services training; 36% of Lincoln's students are now enrolled in a health sciences curriculum. Lincoln has recently seen those ranks swell: new starts grew 42% in the first quarter, compared to the same period last year, and revenues rose 41%.
