Saving up to buy a house
Saving up to buy a house

Profession: Assistant web editor
Bonus: A few thousand dollars

I work for Tennis Warehouse, the largest online tennis company. Every year that I've been there I've received a bonus, so I was kind of expecting it this year but I was surprised it increased as much as it did. Despite the economic downturn, we have had a pretty good year.

How I'll spend it: Like I always say when I have some extra income, "put half of it away, and have it for play." So, I plan to put half of it into my savings account. I'm saving up to buy a house. I'll use the other half for presents and maybe a little something for myself. I'll spend it on some traveling over New Year's and maybe a ski trip or two to Sierra Summit as well. As long as I know I have some extra money, it's nice.
