In 2003 Susan Nichols, a former toy company executive, created Yogitoes -- "skidless" towels that are laid over a traditional yoga mat to keep sweaty hands and feet in place. The towels feature absorbent microfibers on one side and silicone traction nubs on the other. Even during hot yoga sessions -- when the thermostat can hit 95° -- Yogitoes can reduce the slip-and-slide factor.
