Tim Cook, Apple

Apple is the hottest tech company out there right now, and most of its employees seem to love their leader. Cook received a 97% approval rating from Apple staffers -- enough to grab the top spot not only for tech leaders but among all CEOs this year.

Cook's rating is two percentage points higher than that of his predecessor Steve Jobs, who resigned the CEO post in August 2011, two months before his death.
