Even before it was released, the Edge SUV has seen intense interest from shoppers, according to Ford. That's particularly good news for Ford, which needs a hit badly.
The Edge has no third row, unlike some other midsize crossovers, but the target market -- young urban professionals -- had no interest in that feature, Ford says. What it does have is a car-like design its key competitors lack.
