Bristol-Myers Squibb ranks No. 110 on the 2006 FORTUNE 500
The New York-based company is in the top 100 on FORTUNE's latest list of America's largest corporations.
NEW YORK (FORTUNE Magazine) - Bristol-Myers Squibb (Research) ranks no. 110 on this year's list of the FORTUNE 500, with $20.2 billion in revenues, down 7.6% from the previous year. The New York-based company was ranked no. 93 on the 2005 list. Its 2005 profits were $3 billion, up 25.6% from a year earlier. This year, FORTUNE 500 companies overall brought in a record $9.1 trillion in revenues and $610 billion in profits. And while the economy as a whole grew 3.5% last year, FORTUNE 500 companies did much better, increasing their revenues by a healthy 15.4%.
The FORTUNE 500 list is an annual ranking of America's largest corporations by revenues. Its companies employ more than 24 million people, about 16% of working Americans.
