Pontiac G6 Front Impact: Acceptable Side Impact: Marginal Whiplash protection: Marginal Stability control: Optional According to the Insurance Institute, the driver's seat on the G6 came loose from one of its tracks during the crash test, allowing the seat to move and the crash dummy's head to hit the instrument panel. GM says the seat did move but that it didn't come loose. GM also said it is working to provide head protection for side impacts in all of its cars.
