Muscular engine The ZR1's supercharged engine is designed to provide lots of power at low engine speeds but also to stay strong through the top of the engine's RPM limit. The supercharger's intercooler, which cools air flowing in to allow for higher compression, is visible through a clear poly-carbonate panel in the hood.
