Synaptics, along with Germany-based design firm Pilotfish, created this prototype handset using their latest touchscreen technology--the ClearPad, a thin, optically clear "sheet" that recognizes not only points and taps but also shapes and proximity.
The dynamic user interface could let users close tasks by swiping an "X" over them with their finger or answer the phone simply by holding the device to their cheek--no buttons involved.
