AT&T began selling two years ago tween-targeted phones made by Chicago-based Firefly. The carrier recently pulled the phones from store shelves due to slow sales.
While AT&T trumpeted the five keys that limited what kids could do with the phone, the lack of 'adult' features like unlimited calling, Internet access, games, and text messaging were a tough sell.
