Immigration opened Sal's Autohaus. Or rather, Sal Cierra's father did when the family arrived from El Salvador in the '70s. For many, the border marked by the Rio Grande is the meridian between despair and hope. The forces of the border are political, conceptual, physical. What carries millions across is human will.
