But these days, the scene caters more to Hollywood's young "it" crowd including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Even HBO's showbiz satire Entourage has filmed several scenes amidst the pool's palm trees and private bungalows.
Although it is generally said to be for hotel guests only, entertainment, fashion and music types often swing by the Tropicana bar on Sundays to sip on Millionaire Mojitos (topped off with champagne instead of soda), and parade around the famous pool that features an underwater mural by David Hockney.
