Hummer goes truckin'

New Hummer H3T will be the off-road brand's first real pickup truck model.

With a 10.2-inch ground clearance and optional 33-inch tall tires, the H3T will be able to clamber up a 60-percent grade and crawl along a 40-percent side slope, according to GM.

Underneath, several skid shields will protect the oil pan, front axle, transfer case and fuel tank from rocks.

Standard computerized "Hill Hold Assist" will help keep the H3T from rolling backwards when starting from a stop on an incline.
