With encouragement from his brother, Anthony Conway decided to leave his stable job with IBM to launch his own venture.

"He guided me through the startup process, which is always the hardest part," says Conway of his older brother Christopher, the founder of Mentor Corporation, a breast-implants supplier.

If Conway wasn't managing Rochester Medical, which makes catheters, he suspects he would turn his passion for fiction writing into a profession.
