Mercedes-Benz unveiled a trio of BlueZero environmentally-friendly concept cars. The car shown here is a pure plug-in electric car, the second is a hydrogen fuel cell-powered electric car and a third is a plug-in electric car with an internal combustion engine to generate power for longer range driving.
All three cars are built around what Mercedes calls "sandwich floor architecture" which allows for the easy integration of different power sources. The structure also makes for better crash safety, Mercedes says.
