Dario Lopez - Fewer fares

A taxi driver, Lopez now makes only about $50 a day, on average, down from $100 a day. Lopez, 51, who lives in Cranston, has to pay $45 a day for the car.

The economy in Rhode Island is terrible.

I can't make money. I'm getting no good income to pay the rent, pay my bills. Not too many people are taking cabs.

I may move out of state, look at getting another job, getting some training to do something better.
