Today the 33-year old Colorado native's job is to travel the country on a search for its best party.
He wrote a book about his findings, and now makes about $50,000 a year in royalties. It's only about half of his previous salary but still a decent living. Plus, he's got other book offers on the table and recently filmed a TV Pilot for the Travel Chanel.
"I never would have written this book if I hadn't gotten laid off," said Guerriero. "And getting up in the morning has become much more fun. I'm more excited about the prospects for my future than I ever was working for a big company."
His top party picks: Buffalo's World's Largest Disco; South Dakota's Sturgis motorcycle rally; The Lebowski Fest in Louisville, Ky.; New Orleans' Jazz Festival; and the world's largest bike parade in his hometown Ft. Collins, Colo.
