So when work dried up and she became a full-time mom late last year, she wasn't sure how she'd handle it. While money wasn't a problem since her husband makes a comfortable six-figure salary, going from a professional woman to working around the house made her nervous.
Triana, 42 was afraid home life would bore her and that she'd miss life as a busy professional.
But now she loves all the time she gets to spent with her children - Samantha, two-and-a-half, and Gina, 6-months. She said there's nothing quite like actually being there when your children go from taking 4 steps to 70 steps across the floor.
She said the recession let this happen.
"I don't think I would have left my job because of all the responsibility I felt," she said. "But it was the circumstances that forced me out of the workforce, and I'm really glad."
