Technically, this is furniture more than accessory, but much of it is built as art rather than for practical use. For example, master furniture maker Silas Kopf crafted this Founding Fathers Writing Table using 15 different woods reclaimed from several historic sites.
The main part of the structure was made with walnut recycled from George Washington's whiskey distillery at Mount Vernon. The marquetry top includes trompe l'oeil quill pen, letter and envelope, all rendered in wood.
The table is $27,500.
