Performance: Bentley Mulsanne
Performance: Bentley Mulsanne

Power to move the Mulsanne comes from a turbocharged 6.7-liter V8 engine that can put out 505 horsepower. Ordinarily that would sound like a lot, except that the Muslanne weighs a whopping 5,700 pounds.

But here's the secret: the Muslanne's engine also produces 752 foot-pounds of torque at low speeds. You could pull the molars out of a killer whale with that kind of power.

Yank the Mulsanne's gear selector back into "Sport" mode, make sure no-one's in the way and slam on the gas pedal. This luxury freighter takes off like a rocket.

Driven over twisty Pennsylvania roads, the Mulsanne truly proved its worth, taking curves with far more ease and grace than one has any right to expect in a car with this kind of mass. It's not a real "sports sedan" but it's a fun ship to pilot.
